Scarlett Johansson Threatens Legal Action over Surgery Claims

Scarlett Johansson is threatening a magazine with legal action over claims she had undergone plastic surgery on her nose.

Us Weekly magazine, which recently published a picture of the star with the cover line 'A-List Nip/Tuck,' quoted her as saying: "I definitely believe in plastic surgery. I don't want to be an old hag. There's no fun in that."

But the Lost in Translation star has vehemently denied the claims, insisting they are damaging to her image and will alienate her fans.

The 23-year-old says in a statement, "I have always been straightforward with the press regarding my body image and I am very concerned that my fans (and perhaps even my employers) will feel misled.

"Thus, I feel compelled to take immediate legal action against Us Weekly."

Her spokesperson has also slammed the report as "outrageous," adding, "There simply is no truth to the story."

Otis Ferry 'took keys to protect Sienna Miller'

The son of the Roxy Music singer Bryan Ferry grabbed the keys from the cars of two celebrity photographers to stop them following Sienna Miller, a court has heard.

Otis Ferry allegedly reached through the car windows of the two photographers, Charles Pycraft and Ben Brett, seized their keys then discarded them.

One of the photographers told a court that he could not find his keys afterwards and his car was left causing an obstruction in the road.

Ferry, 25, of Cross Houses, Shrewsbury, denies two charges of criminal damage, one at a cost of £180 and the other £500.

West London magistrates' court heard that Miller, a "critical witness" in Ferry's defence case, was not able to attend the hearing. Phillip Lucas, Ferry's defence barrister, said information in the press had suggested the actress was in Mexico.

The trial heard how the photographers had been waiting outside Boujis nightclub in South Kensington, where a post-Bafta party had been taking place.

Miller emerged and got in to a silver Mercedes, while Ferry and his younger brother Isaac got in to a black Freelander with the defendant as a passenger and his brother driving.

Prosecutor David Bedenham said Ferry had grabbed the keys as the photographers stopped at traffic lights and rendered the vehicles "useless".

Mr Pycraft said he had been following Miller's car, which had a police van travelling behind it, when they stopped at traffic lights about a mile from the club.

He told the court he wound his window down as Ferry approached, thinking it might be something to do with the police presence.

He said: "He was too quick and I wasn't expecting someone to do that when I was behind a police van."

Mr Pycraft said he thought Ferry might have said: "Who's in the car?" to which Mr Pycraft had replied: "Miss Miller."

He told the court he had "no idea" what happened to the keys, but his car was disabled for a few hours and was an obstruction.

"I could not see where he had gone," said Mr Pycraft.

"He jumped back into the vehicle." He said it cost £180 for new keys.

Ferry appeared in court under his full name, Charles Frederick Otis Ferry.

Mr Bedenham said the registration number of the Freelander had been written down and Isaac Ferry was found to be the registered keeper.

He said Ferry told the police that the photographers had been harassing Miller, his brother's friend, and she had phoned saying she did not want the paparazzi to know her new address. The case continues.

Scarlett Johansson Denies Plastic Surgery

Scarlett Johansson landed the cover of the most-recent issue of US Weekly magazine, but she's far from pleased.

Two photos of the star appear with the headline, "A-List Nip/Tuck." Then it reads, "Did they or didn't they? The best before and after photos that prove not all stars were born beautiful."

But Johansson's rep told OK! magazine that the star never had plastic surgery on her nose.

"US Weekly's cover story regarding Scarlett Johansson and its clear implication that she has had plastic or cosmetic surgery on her nose is an outrageous and defamatory fabrication lacking any conceivable basis or proof, despite vehement denials by Ms. Johansson prior to publication," the statement said. "Not surprisingly, US magazine cannot provide the dates when she supposedly had this surgery, who performed the surgery, or what was supposedly done - all because there simply is no truth to the story. The publication made a pathetic attempt to validate its story by using two cover photos of Scarlett that were taken years apart with obviously different make-up and lighting, and then relying on an 'expert's opinion' (based solely on looking at the two photos) on what 'might' have been done. It wasn't."

Johansson added, "I have always been straightforward with the press regarding my body image and I am very concerned that my fans (and perhaps even my employers) will feel mislead. Thus, I feel compelled to take immediate legal action against

Sienna Miller moves from acting to singing

In a new move, actress Sienna Miller has decided to switch from acting to singing.

She and her fellow actor boyfriend Rhys Ifans are planning to make music together.

The two would be following in the footsteps of former rock star couple Kate Moss and Pete Doherty, who had performed together during Babyshambles concerts and co-wrote songs before their break-up.

A pal revealed that the two could be making Oasis-style music.

"Rhys really likes Oasis and, particularly, Noel Gallagher so that's the kind of music he'd like to make," Daily Express quoted the pal, as saying.

"Sienna also enjoys singing and has dreamed of one day being a rock star. Rhys has been encouraging her to do something about it," added the pal.

Ifans was one of the original members of Welsh band the 'Super Furry Animals' and has recently returned to the recording studio to work with the band's drummer Dafydd Ieuan on a Welsh album The Peth (The Thing).

The couple are reported to have been practising their vocals while on holiday in Mexico City.

Monroe's Pal Wants Johansson or Bosworth to Play Her on Screen

Marilyn Monroe's one-time best friend Jeanne Carmen wants Scarlett Johansson or Kate Bosworth to play her in a new biopic because mom-to-be Christina Aguilera is too focused on motherhood for the project.

Pop star Aguilera was set to make her big-screen debut in the story of the busty blonde pinup, but Carmen can't wait for her to have a child and get back into shape.

So she has revealed she wants either Johansson or Bosworth to take the role in the film, based on her son Brandon James' biography The Wild, Wild Life of Jeanne Carmen.

Carmen says, "Christina was interested in playing the part and is a born pinup girl at heart. She became pregnant, however, and the script is now in the hands of Scarlett Johansson's agent and Kate Bosworth's agent.

"Either one of these girls have the talent to pull it off."

Scarlett Johansson helps out Sri Lankan Dalit School

Actress Scarlett Johansson has donated a huge sum to a school in Sri Lanka.

The 22-year old who travelled to Sri Lanka and India with aid workers from international charity group Oxfam, was pained to see the plight of children in the poverty-stricken school.

Johansson told PlanetGossip.eonline.com that the time she spent with the kids at a Dalit school was the most cherishing part of her trip.

"The most gratifying opportunity was visiting a Dalit school. The Dalit community is considered the lowest status in the caste system, and children as young as four are working the fields," Contactmusic quoted her, as telling the site.

With the actress' donation, the school will be supported for the next three years.

Scarlett Johansson: A Modern-Day Marilyn Monroe?

As she strode down the red carpet in a black strapless Louis Vuitton, Scarlett Johansson was the very definition of old Hollywood glamour on Monday night at Elle magazine’s Women In Hollywood celebration.

And perhaps it’s fitting that Scarlett’s style has often garnered comparisons to the starlets of generations past, as some have even compared her to Hollywood’s most notable female icon.

“You have been called the modern day Marilyn Monroe,” Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson told Scarlett on the red carpet. “That’s such a title. When you think about that, how do you feel?”

“Well I’m a huge fan of Marilyn,” Scarlett said. “She was always so glamorous and hopefully, it’s not the tragedy that reminds everybody. Certainly, she had an incredible sort of seamless sexiness and grace that was just divine.”

But does the 22-year-old actress see in herself what so many others do?
